Jane Elizabeth "Lib" Stevens McAteer

Mrs. Jane Elizabeth “Lib” Stevens McAteer, 66, of Lancaster passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at the home of her daughter Crystal Jewett. She was born March 28, 1953 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Melvin Stevens and Wilma Threatt Stevens.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. McAteer will be held Monday, June 24, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. McAteer is survived by two daughters, Crystal O Jewett of Monroe and Karon A. Smith and her husband Steven of Lancaster; three brothers, Russell Stevens and his wife Mary, Robert “Buddy” Stevens of York and David Stevens of Lancaster; two sisters, Carol Blackmon and Pat Hall and her husband Eddie all of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Kayla Hinson, Mason Adams, Jessica McDonald, Karlee Lyons, Dylan McDonald and Rachel Hinson; and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. McAteer was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank Stevens, Donald Stevens and Kenneth Stevens; and five sisters, Joann Laney, Bobbie Jean McGuage, Vivian Myers, Mary Bowers, and Mary Caston.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter Crystal Jewett, 1008 West Sandy Ridge Road, Monroe, NC 28112.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. McAteer.Read Obituary
