James Crawford "Stoney" Stone

Mr. James Crawford “Stoney” Stone, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born April 23, 1938 in Lancaster, a son of the late James Bertran Stone and Gladys Rebecca Clark Stone. Mr. Stone was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired after working 40 years at Springs Industries. Mr. Stone was married to his best friend and soulmate, Patricia for 36 years. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Stone will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11 am at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Bedford officiating. Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Patricia Toole Stone of Lancaster; a son, Kelly Floyd Bailey and his wife Meredith of Heath Springs; two daughters, Dee Bailey Carroll and her husband Craig of Minneapolis, MN and Lisa D. Williams of Monroe; a sister, Geraldine Stone Toole and her husband Robert of Columbus, IN; six grandchildren, Raegan Bailey, Julia Carroll, Sydney Bailey, Peyton Bailey, Daniel Bailey and Melanie Bailey; and a great-grandchild, Aubree Leigh Bailey Banks. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Diane Roberts. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home on 1439 Winthrop Avenue, Lancaster, SC.
