Mr. James Roy Hinson, 67, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at MUSC-Lancaster. He was born November 18, 1954 in Lancaster, a son of the late Roy Hinson, Jr. and Queen Ann Hilton Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church. He owned and operated Hinson’s Home Improvements. He was a dedicated husband and craftsman and enjoyed his work. Mr. Hinson enjoyed relaxing at his pool and man cave. He loved his horse and going to the beach and mountains. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hinson will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin officiating. Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, Tonya Robinson Hinson of Lancaster; a step-son, Jamie Lowery and his wife Lacy of Lancaster; a step-daughter, Jennifer Robinson and her significant other Leo of Charlotte; two brothers, Richard Louis Hinson of Florence and Howard R. Hinson of Lancaster; and three grandchildren, Cayden Lowery, Carter Lowery and Rylee Lowery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Lancaster Funeral Home. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Hinson.
