Mr. James Carroll Collins, 79, of Lancaster, widower of Carolyn Deese Collins passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center. He was born October 14, 1941 in Chesterfield, a son of the late Oscar Collins and Lora Sims Collins. Mr. Collins was married to Carolyn, the love of his life for fifty five years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing all through his life and participated in these activities regularly during his retirement years. Mr. Collins was a veteran, having served our country as a soldier in the US Army.Mr. Collins is survived by four sons, Brian Collins (Bridget) of Inman, Darren Collins, Dean Collins (Karin), and Steven Collins (April) all of Lancaster; four brothers, Harold Collins of Lancaster; Jerry Collins, Bill Collins and Alvin Collins all of Pageland; three sisters, Beulah Starnes, Pat Ivey and Wanda Tyler all of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Austin, Josh, Danielle, Skylar, Nick, Katlyn and Blake; and two great grandchildren, Khloe and Owen.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Collins.Read Obituary
