Mrs. Helen Truesdale Small Collins, 78, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home. She was born March 28, 1943 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late James McLindon Truesdale and Ruby Juanita Dinkins Truesdale. Mrs. Collins was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an executive secretary with Duke Power for 32 years. Mrs. Collins loved quilting, crocheting and making crafts. She was twice widowed, first to Michael Ralph Small and then to John Roland Collins, Jr.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Collins will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryant Fersner officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Collins is survived by two sons, Michael Scott Small and his wife Julie and Anthony A. “Tony” Small all of Lancaster; a step-son, Mickey Collins of Kershaw; three step-daughters, Patricia Powell of Johnsonville, Denise Lawrimore of Hemingway and Carolyn Elston of Spartanburg; a brother, Steve C. Truesdale and his wife Nan of Lancaster; a sister, Rita Truesdale Parker of Greer; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John McLindon Truesdale.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church Family Life Center.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Collins.Read Obituary

Tony, It saddens my heart to get the news of Helens passing. She was a beautiful person and loved by all that knew her. My prayers go out to the family. It is heartbreaking. Will keep you in my prayers. Love you, Diane & Paul Barton.
