Mr. H. W. Bailey, Jr., 83, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. He was born February 15, 1939 in Great Falls, a son of the late Heyward William Bailey, Sr. and Beatrice Gunter Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a member of Douglas Presbyterian Church and was an Elder for many years. He worked for Springs Industries Engineering and was a Contractor. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bailey will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Christine Trimble officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Grace Ballard Bailey of Lancaster; two sons, Michael Bailey and Billy Bailey and his wife Angela all of Lancaster; a step-daughter, Dianne Crot and her husband Mike of Lancaster; a brother, Tommy Bailey of Lancaster; three sisters, Betty Gilmer of Kershaw, Dot Johnson and her husband Lewis and Macille Broome all of Columbia; two grandchildren, Scotty Bailey and his wife Crystal and Jessica Steele and her husband Bliss; a great-grandchild, Austin Bailey; two step-grandchildren, Brian Watts and Jay Watts; and three step great-grandchildren, Alexis Watts, Garrett Watts and Lane Watts. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Bailey. Memorial contributions may be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.
