Mr. Gerald Curtis Hyatt, 82, of Lancaster, widower of Patricia Ann Rape Hyatt, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home. He was born April 12, 1938 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Parris Hyatt and Edna Irene Bradley Hyatt. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved fishing, Braves baseball, going to church and being with his family and friends.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hyatt will be held at a later date.Mr. Hyatt is survived by a son, Bryan Hyatt and his wife Brenda of Lancaster; a daughter, Shari Hyatt Outlaw of Lancaster; three sisters, Brenda Laney and Darlene Whitley both of Lancaster and Judy Kennington of Texas; five grandchildren, Christie Austin, Joshua Hyatt, Jeffrey Hyatt, Mandy Osornio and Jessica Outlaw; and eight great-grandchildren, Destiny Austin, Daiman Austin, Desiree Austin, Trevor Osornio, Tyler Osornio, Nevaeh Outlaw, Lilly Hyatt, and Ava Boone. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hyatt Oliver; a great grandson, Devin Price; three brothers, Carl Hyatt, Bob Hyatt, and Odell Hyatt.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Hyatt.
