Mrs. Geneva Moree Faile, 92, widow of Claude Faile of Lancaster passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Atrium Health in Charlotte. She was born September 29, 1925 in Pageland, a daughter of the late Jim Moree and Rennie Moree. Mrs. Faile was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She always cooked for her family and people in the community. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Faile will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 3 pm at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Ingram officiating. Burial will be in the Blackmon Cemetery. Mrs. Faile is survived by two sons, William Faile and his wife Sandra and Ray Faile and his wife Diane all of Lancaster; two daughters, Juanita Faile Baker and Tammy Hudson and her fiancé Rusty all of Lancaster; nine grandchildren, Lisa McDowell, Jerry Baker, Jr., Wendy Boykin, Michelle Hendrix, Crystal Hudson, Amanda Hudson, Scott Faile, Kristen Faile, and Kim Baker; three step grandchildren, Scott Hargett, Stephen Hargett and Clint Hartett; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Faile was preceded in death by a son, Frank Faile; a granddaughter Lori Myers; seven brothers; and three sisters. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Juanita Baker.
