Furman McLeon Hance

Mr. Furman McLeon Hance, 82, of Rock Hill passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1935 in Lancaster, a son of the late Julius Marion and Janie Rollins Hance, a devoted husband of 55 years to the late Reba Lucas Hance, and loving brother to the late Kenneth Bruce Hance, the late Michael Derrick Hance and the late Barbara Joanne Catoe.Mr. Hance worked for and retired from Continental Tire Company in Charlotte, NC. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Hance was a great sports enthusiast. He served as the President of the Lancaster Bruins Booster Club and Lancaster Dixie Majors Baseball. He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan. He also enjoyed gospel music and attending church. Mr. Hance currently attended Faith Assembly of God in Rock Hill and was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Lancaster.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hance will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Keith and Rev. Todd Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Hance is survived by his wife, Crecie (Chris) Bowen Hance of Rock Hill, SC and his children, Tammy Hance, Debbie (Kevin) Funderburk, Darel (Elizabeth) Hance, David Hance, Ricky (Susan) Bowen, Vickie (Buddy) Hartberger, Grandchildren: Christie Lewis, Hope Funderburk, Ryan Hance, Chapman Fountain, Hannah Fountain, McKensie Hance, Melissa (Eric) Bowers, Megan Hartberger, Matthew Hartberger and Lauren Bowen.
