Franklin Delano Mullis

Mr. Franklin Delano Mullis, 76, of Lancaster passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born February 20, 1942 in Waxhaw, NC, a son of the late William Brady and Jessie Kettle Mullis and was married to Ruth Lee McAteer Mullis. Mr. Mullis was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, and was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Mullis had retired from Duracell. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved working with computers, riding around looking at nature, playing his guitar and going to church.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Mullis will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Camp Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Mellichamp, Rev. Mack Mullis and Mr. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Mullis is survived by his wife Ruth Lee McAteer Mullis; two sons, Donald Altman and Ronald Altman both of Lancaster; a daughter, Teresa Mullis and her husband Chad Gainer of Lancaster; a special daughter in law, Peaches; a brother, Leonard Mullis of Marshville a special granddaughter Melissa; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a special niece, Sherry Casey of Marshville. Mr. Mullis was preceded in death by two sons, William Scott Mullis and Edward Altman, a daughter, Linda Stacks; two brothers, Hazel Mullis and Harvey Mullis; and a sister, Margaret MullisThe family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Camp Creek Baptist Church and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation, 4600 Park Road – Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Mullis.Read Obituary
