Frances Juanita Powell Flynn

Mrs. Frances Juanita Powell Flynn, 73, of Lancaster, wife of Lonnie Harris Flynn, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1948 in Lake City, a daughter of the late Francis Milton Powell and Juanita Mildred Springs Powell. Mrs. Flynn was a devoted wife and loving mother and housewife. She was always willing to help those in need. Mrs. Flynn loved animals, especially puppies and birds and was a humanitarian. She was devoted to her mother. Mrs. Flynn dropped out of school to help her family but went back later to graduate. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for several years.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Flynn will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry King officiating. Entombment will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.Mrs. Flynn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lonnie Harris Flynn; two sons, Kenneth Harris Flynn of Lancaster and Michael Flynn of Lugoff; and two brothers, Aaron Powell and his wife Ann and Orren Powell and his wife Aline all of Lancaster.
