Frances Ashley Taylor "Sally" Faulkenberry

Mrs. Frances Ashley Taylor “Sally” Faulkenberry, 85, of Lancaster, widow of Boyd Glenn Taylor and William Faulkenberry, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home. She was born October 5, 1936 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Edward Lee Ashley and Zelma Robinson Ashley. Mrs. Faulkenberry loved her church and enjoyed working in her yard. She worked at Springs Industries, Roses and Bojangles. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Faulkenberry will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mendel Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Faulkenberry is survived by two sons, Chris Hayes and his wife Gale and Edward Hayes all of Lancaster; a daughter, Angie Hegler and her husband Ray of Lancaster; two brothers, Clyde Ashley (Nellie) of Heath Springs and R. B. Ashley of Lancaster; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Earlie Criminger, Cleatus Criminger, J. C. Criminger, Junior Ashley and Crawford Ashley; and five sisters, Inez Phillips, Marcine Terry, Betty Rollings, Katie Hernandez and Sudie Carpenter. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Lancaster Funeral Home.
