We had the honour of attending an 80th BIrthday Party hosted by Florence for my father, Glenn Tremain, in 2007. This was a remarkable event held in Ajijic Mexico, and Florence had every aspect of the dinner planned to perfection. She made a humorous speech looking back on their decades of friendship in the chinchillas industry, and gave a toast with wishes for many more years. Florence was firmly 'in charge' of the entire meal, and I noticed the chef/owners coming by her table to consult on her timing and direction several times. This was Florence at her finest and showing her nursing background: organized, detailed and totally in charge. Ever the generous host, Florence paid for everyone's dinner, with 20 of her Canadian friends attending, and was pleased to do so. Thanks Florence, for a very fond memory of good times in Mexico with my parents and friends.
