Mrs. Flonnie Mae Taylor Gamble, 84, of Lancaster, widow of Donald Columbus Gamble, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 31, 2022 at her home. She was born June 29, 1937 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Charlie Marshall Taylor and Dessie Ann Victoria Small Taylor. Mrs. Taylor retired from Springs Industries after 37 years of service. She loved to spend time at the beach. Her hobbies included fishing, reading and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Gamble loved her dogs, Brendle and Gidget. She enjoyed cooking and making walnut cakes for her huband. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gamble will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Anders officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Gamble is survived by two sons, Danny Keith Gamble and James Marshall Gamble and his wife Sheri all of Lancaster; three daughters, Rebecca Sue Clough and her husband Kevin Robbins, Donna Kay Jenkins and her husband Mike and Debbie Gamble Hyatt and her husband Darrell all of Lancaster; two brothers, Jerry Taylor and his wife Edith and Kenneth Taylor and his wife Bernice all of Lancaster; two sisters, Diane Gaskins and her husband Terry and Brenda Newcomb and her husband Bill all of Lancaster; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lynn Taylor and Ralph Taylor. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 197 Holiday Road, Lancaster.
