Mrs. Faye McManus Clifton, 90, of Lancaster, widow of Erskin Clifton, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at MUSC-Lancaster. She was born May 8, 1930 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Lewis Otis McManus and Wilma Jowers McManus. Mrs. Clifton was a charter and lifelong member of Union Baptist Church. She was employed with Springs Industies for 30 years and worked at the Lancaster Plant. Mrs. Clifton was a gracious home maker and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved being with people and helping those in need. Mrs. Clifton also loved to dance and spend time at the beach.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Clifton will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Catlin Rollins and Rev. Dr. Jackie Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Clifton is survived by a son, Russell Clifton and his wife Linda Sue of Lancaster; four daughters, Wilma C. Stevens and her husband Buckshot and Emogene C. Griffin and her husband Rex all of Lancaster, Wanda C. Mehrhoff and Barbara Ann C. Kohl both of Jefferson City, MO; 10 grandchildren, David, Donna, Shannon, Mitchell, Matthew, Alisha, Dr. Casey Jane, Dutch, McKenzie and Stacie; 13 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Bre, Hannah, Khloe, Maverick, Kylee, Ryan, Elizabeth, Skyler, Scotty, Shane, Jonathan and Dakota; 6 great-great grandchildren, Isla, Gracelynn, Ryleigh, Baelen, Collin and Bella; and a sisters-in-law, Sarah L. McManus and Betty Jean Outlaw; and two brothers-in-law, Cecil Clifton and his wife Francis and Albert Clifton and his wife Mary Ann. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Faye Carr; five brothers, Lewis “Junior” McManus, Van R. McManus, Gene McManus, Dan McManus and Bruce McManus; five sisters, Ethel Catoe, Bobbie Sue McManus, Betty Jo Catoe, Naye Adams and Julia Whitted.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Clifton.
