I will try and find words to justify this mans life . He was the kindest man I've had the privilege of ever knowing . I remember the exact first time of meeting him . He left a impression on me that day that will always be on my mind and in my heart . I never once heard him condemn others , and this is a rarity . He accepted me into the family as if I had already been there forever . He loved seeing family come visit , and visit we did with him gracelessly allowing us to stay in the { The Cabin } . It says a lot about a man when ones grandson says he loves him , and hasn't seen him in years . But hasn't forgotten his goodness .
So many memories of Eustice its hard to write all them here . I wish I could know I would be remembered as he is , but I can't go near that place .
His faithfulness to God , and his family is the most outstanding memories etched on my mind . Oh ! to have a man as this in ones life is and would be a honor .
The results of his life shows through his children and their lives . Donna , Julie , and Van
have always had my adoration .
I know you all know how blessed you've been having him as your daddy . You have carried on with his life with honoring his way of leading you , and I'm proud of you all .
Having him to guide you will show results for years to come with you all knowing how to carry on with your kids and grandkids . And , so far this has already shown , and I know this will carry on for decades .
Its been a honor knowing this man , and trying to find words that fit his life is hard as anything I say can't really be stated correctly .
I loved him and will always cherish times I spent with him and family .
I love you , Donna , Julie , and Van . And I hope you all know how special you are to me .
As God would say , " A job well done by this man ."
Thank you all for being there for me and my family .
Hugs ,
Aunt Vera

Thomas, thank you for your family's sweet thoughts and prayers.
When your almost 8 year old remembers the love and kindness of a soul she was blessed to meet in person only once in her life, it speaks volumes of the generosity, genuine and authentic warmth and pure grace carried within. He has touched my whole family by simply being himself - when I see a magnolia blossom, I will recall warm summer evenings smiling on his front porch and I will know he is in God's loving hands and once again porch sitting with Mrs. Myrtle, who in her last days was still the sharpest needle-worker you could find and will always be with me in the beautiful veil Julie made for our wedding.
Watching Mr. Eustice in person and through the love and lives of his children, in-laws and grandchildren, and most especially his beloved departed wife I have learned so much. He was gentle, kind, hard working, and soft spoken - a skill I have not come close to perfecting, but am in my second half of life learning to value more and more. He raised fine cattle, corn, sweet potatoes, pond fish and chickens, but even more so, mighty fine children.
His daughter taught me how to supervise staff, be caretaker of a building, share the privilege of education and hard work with others, travel the world to learn from beautiful differences and celebrate common threads, and most skillfully to remember to laugh at work. Most importantly, she and her husband taught me that family is more than blood and those who love deep and take chances by welcoming the lost lambs, leave long legacies, even when they are sometimes thankless. They are some of the finest examples of being Christlike I know.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
