Mr. Elvin Donald “Donnie” Wright, Jr., 65, of Lancaster passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home. He was born June 13, 1953 in Charlotte, NC, a son of the late Elvin Donald “Cabbage” Wright, Sr. and Foye Clarice Funderburk Wright. Donnie was the owner of Wright’s Welding Shop and he specialized in custom welding. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Donnie was also an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friends and family.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wright will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Ribelin officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Marian B. Wright of Lancaster to whom he was married for 47 years; a son, Elvin Daniel “Danny” Wright and his wife Beth of Lancaster; a daughter, Lori Deese and her husband Danny “Buck” of Lancaster; two sisters, Debbie Sturgeon and Julie Barton and her husband Keith all of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Billie Grace Deese and Gracie Wright; and a very dear friend, Mike Sistare of Lancaster.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2255 Dome Lane, Lancaster.Memorial contributions may be made to Dream Team, P.O.
