Mrs. Edith Mobley Harper, 83, of Lancaster, wife of William Lewis Harper, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home. She was born November 26, 1933 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late E. J. Mobley and Sallie Harper Mobley.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Harper will be held Monday, June 5, 2017, at 3:00 pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill McCown officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, William Lewis Harper; two sons, Steve Harper and his wife Donna and Billy Harper all of Lancaster; two daughters, Donna H. Hagins and her husband Larry of Lancaster and Jan H. Viars and her husband Denver of Columbia, seven grandchildren; Jill Stewart, Matt Cauthen, Ben Cauthen, Will Harper, Walt Harper, Meredith Keenan and Ellen Hagins; two great grandchildren, Mason Stewart and Brooklyn Cauthen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Mobley and Tony Mobley; and a sister, Mary M. HarperThe family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Family Life Center of St. Luke United Methodist Church and other times at her home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
