Doris Furr Talbert

Mrs. Doris Furr Talbert, 94, of Lancaster, widow of Hazel Thaddeus Talbert, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 16, 1927 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Dewey Furr and Dessie Shehane Furr.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Talbert will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Ghent officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Talbert is survived by a daughter, Donna Harrison of Lancaster; a brother Charles Furr of Lancaster; three grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Talbert was preceded in death by a son, Hazel Michael “Mickey” Talbert; a granddaughter, Erica Rachelle Rollings; and two sisters, Evelyn Ray and Peggy Ghent.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Talbert.Read Obituary
