Doris Bailey Small

Mrs. Doris Bailey Small, 82, of Lancaster, widow of Charles E. Small passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at White Oak Manor. She was born May 5, 1938 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Baxter S. Bailey and Leila Humphries Bailey. Mrs. Small was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and had retired from Clark Control.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Small will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Montgomery officiating. Entombment will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.Mrs. Small is survived by a son, Charles D. “Chuck” Small of Lancaster; a daughter, Teresa S. Kennington and her husband Mike of Kershaw; four grandchildren, Bethany S. Cameron, Mica L. Blackmon, Sunni D. Kennington, and Landon C. Small; two great grandsons, Janson C. Small and Kolby D. Blackmon; and two great granddaughters, Kinsley R. Blackmon and Violet J. Cameron. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Small was preceded in death by five sisters, Evelyn B. Cauthen, Louise B. Baker, Pauline B. Mosley, Gladys B. Sims and Betty B. Roddey; and two brothers, Floyd D. Bailey and Baxter “June-Bug” Bailey.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
