Mrs. Dora Estelle Terry Geiger, 94, of Heath Springs, widow of Johnny “Bill” Geiger, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born June 1, 1923 in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Dan Terry and Essie Deese Terry. Mrs. Geiger was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church and was also a member of the Golden Age Group. She loved to cook and bake cakes for her family and friends. In addition, she loved to work in her yard. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Geiger will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery – Jefferson, SC. Mrs. Geiger is survived by two sons, David Geiger and his wife Diane of Blythewood and Johnny Geiger and his wife Dianne of Lancaster; a daughter, Jeannette and her husband Franklin Mills of Heath Springs; two granddaughters, Joanna Williams and Janet Christian and her husband Scott; seven great-grandchildren, Jay Minors, Max Christian, Jackson and Jantzen Williams, Brittany Holden, and Scott, Jr. and Brady Christian; a great-great granddaughter, Raynee Christian; and a special friend, Ada Stewart. . She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Louise Geiger; two brothers, Edward Terry and William D. Terry; and five sisters, Euna Miles, Ola Rollings, Myrtis Rollings, Minnie Price and Lora Miles. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Lancaster Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fork Hill Golden Age Group, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058. Mrs. Geiger was such a special lady.....I always enjoyed running into her and Jeanette at Walmart or wherever. Jeanette, David and Johnny, please know that all of the family are in our Prayers. I know you will miss her, but I feel sure she is in Heaven and just where she wants to be. God Bless each of you!
