Mr. David Lee Roddey, of Lancaster passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at his home. He was born in Lancaster, S.C. October 11, 1989 a son of Ronald Roddey and the late Alice Hancock.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Roddey will be held at a later date.Mr. Roddey is survived by his father Ronald Roddey, a brother Travis Roddey, his grandmother Lavenia Cooper, and numerous aunts and uncles.Mr. Roddey was preceded in death by his mother Alice Hancock.The family will receive friends Monday, March 4, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the home of the grandmother 565 Mosteller Drive Lancaster, S.C.Notes to the family may be made at www.lancasterfuneralhome.com.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Roddey.Read Obituary

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for your family. I taught David and Travis in Kindergarten. Both were such cute, sweet little boys. Hard to believe so many years have passed by. I pray that you know Jesus as Savior to help you through this time and for your Hope of eternity in Heaven when this short life is over. My son, Gavan, age 38, went to be with Jesus just this past Feb. 1st. Because he called on the name of JESUS, himself, and accepted HIM as his personal Savior one day years ago I can have the HOPE of seeing him again one day when I get to Heaven. It is that HOPE that gives us peace now during our time of grief. A verse from Bible John 3:16 may be of comfort to you.
