David Philip Jennette

Mr. David Philip Jennette, 70, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare Main in Charlotte. He was born March 2, 1949 in Plattsburgh New York, a son of the late Alwin Jennette and Catherine Mary Abood Jennette.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jennette will be held Sunday March 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill McCown officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Jennette was a loving husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a very active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church volunteered for Hope, was a driver for meals on wheels, and went on mission trips to Guatemala. Mr. Jennette was a model train hobbyist. He was also very helpful with his family. Mr. Jennette was an accomplished handyman. He loved his pets, enjoyed anything to do with trains, and loved to travel especially on trains.Mr. Jennette is survived by his wife Evelyn M. Jennette, two daughters Catalina Parker and her husband Scott of Medina, New York and Rebecca Jennette of New York, New York, five brothers; Larry Jennette of Freeport, New York. Philip Jennette of Freeport, New York, Kerry Jennette of Freeport, New York, Timothy Jennette of Oyster Bay, New York, Thomas Jennette of Levittown, New York, and one sister Phyllis Darwin of Raleigh, N.C.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019 at St. Luke United Methodist Church.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church or the charity of one’s choice.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Jennette.Read Obituary
