Mrs. Cortney Michelle Brooks Hegler, 31, of Heath Springs passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was born May 9, 1990 in Statesville, NC, a daughter of David J. Brooks and the late Tina Michelle Greene Brooks.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hegler will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2 p.m. at New Life Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Pate officiating. Burial will be private.Mrs. Hegler is survived by the father of her children, Jonathan Hegler of Heath Springs; a son, Caleb Hegler of Heath Springs; a daughter, Tessa Hegler of Heath Springs; her father, David J. Brooks of Newton, NC; two brothers, Kyndall Brooks and Eric Brooks both of Statesville, NC; two sisters, Carmen Brooks and Katelyn Brooks both of Statesville, NC; and several nieces and nephews that she loved very much.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at New Life Freewill Baptist Church and other times at the home of Jonathan, Caleb and Tessa, 172 Bite Lane, Heath Springs.
