Mr. Clyde Gordon “Pete” Clough, 90, of Lancaster, widower of Betty Phillips Clough, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at his home. He was born June 22, 1929 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Henry Clough and Margaret Gill Clough. Mr. Clough was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Springs Industries. Mr. Clough was a volunteer coach for youth sports and an avid fisherman. He was an Eagle Scout.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Clough will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Anderson and Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery.Mr. Clough is survived by a son, Edward Clough and his wife Karen Lavender of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Madeline and Gillian Clough. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Philip Gordon “Clu” Clough; four brothers, William C. Clough, James “Andy” Clough, Herbert C. Clough and John Henry Clough, Jr.; and a sister, Peggy Plyler.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.
