Mrs. Cleo Ghent Langley, 80, of Lancaster, widow of Nathan Langley, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home. She was born July 19, 1938 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Paris Albert Ghent and Alma Ellis Ghent. Mrs. Langley was a member of Catawba Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, Maw Maw, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted Christian and church member. She was known for her tight and loving hugs, and was a walking witness for the Lord. She was everyone’s Maw Maw. She loved to read and collect cookbooks, and collected everything that was Roosters.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Langley will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the graveside at Blackmon Cemetery with the Rev. Sean Stroud and Rev. Brad Kirkley officiating.Mrs. Langley is survived by a son, Nathan Randal Langley and his wife Carmen; two daughters, Beth Gardner and her husband Steve of Lancaster and Sara Langley Vance and her husband Emory of Edgemoor; a brother, Randy Ellis of Lancaster; a sister, Linda Kay Humphries and her husband Bobby of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Devan Langley, Leann Gardner, Tyler Langley, Christopher Gardner, Nathan Murray, Cody Langley and Daniel Murray; and two great grandchildren, Skyler Langley and Paisley Langley. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Ghent and Heyward Ghent; two sisters, Evelyn Waits and Edith Ghent; and a special niece, Tara Cook.The family will receive friends at the home of Christopher Gardner, 3069 University Drive, Lancaster.Memorial contributions may be made to Catawba Baptist Church – Building Fund, 1144 Riverside Road, Lancaster, SC 29720Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Langley.
