Mr. Chucky James “Chuck” Elmore, Sr., 57, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Azalea Woods – Aiken, SC. He was born August 19, 1960 in Lancaster, a son of Janie Stacks Godfrey and the late Francis Edward Elmore. Mr. Elmore was a great father who loved talking to his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching football.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Elmore will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 3 pm at Catawba Baptist Church with the Rev. Sean Stroud officiating. Burial will be private.Mr. Elmore is survived by a son, Chucky James “C.J.” Elmore, Jr. and his wife, Samantha of Gastonia, NC; a daughter, Alexis Leeann Elmore of Lancaster; his mother, Janie Stacks Godfrey of Lancaster; two sisters, Sarah L. Jenkins and her husband Rick of Lancaster and Sally L. Petty and her husband Ron of Rock Hill; and four grandchildren; Isiah, Steven, Angela and Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William David Stacks and Ricky Edward Elmore.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Catawba Baptist Church.Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 222 S. Church Street, Suite 336 M, Charlotte, NC 28202.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Elmore.

Chucky you always made me laugh. I'll never forget how you would " sing Mama gave me a brand new pair of tennis shoes and she taught me how to dance. The jump you would do was so funny. I love you!!! Fly high in that blue sky Cuz.
