Sam Mabry Sr.
Wow, I'm heartbroken to learn of Chatrles' passing, especially nearly two years afterwards. We shared many miles and more memories working together. He was my patrol partner from the beginning of my law enforcement career and took upon himself to take me under his wing. I learned a lot from him, about life and being a police officer. One of the few I became friends with outside of work and even fewer I remained with so with after our departure from the Sheriff's Dept only a couple months apart. He genuinely had a heart big enough to wrap around a building and I don't think many people got to see that as much. Rest easy my friend, I've got plenty of memories to hold on to until we meet on the otherside and laugh about the old days. About how you were terrified of little lap dogs, or you and I unwittingly being an accomplice to a jilted girlfriend burning her man's house down, or more than once when I screwed up and you took the heat so that I didn't have to. See you soon brother
