Mr. Charles Thomas Knight, 90, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 9, 1931 in Lancaster, a son of the late Arlin Armfield Knight and Willie Mae Stacks Knight. Mr. Knight had retired from Johnson Mills in Mineral Springs. In addition to fishing, Mr. Knight enjoyed working on cars and the excitement of dirt track racing. He had a special sense of humor. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Knight will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Thomas and Rev. Donnie Birchfield officiating. Mr. Knight is survived by two daughters, Judy Haire and her husband Charles of Lancaster and Patricia A. Johnson and her husband Gene of Fountain Inn; a son, Ernest “Bunk” Knight and his wife Janet of Lancaster; and a special granddaughter, Tonya Gunter and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his former wife, Daisy Wright Knight; two sons, Charles Eugene Knight, Dewey Winford Knight; three brothers; and four sisters. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Knight.
