Some of the best memories growing up was going to Aunt Almas at Blackmon family reunions. Listening to the stories of Sonny and meeting and learning about our ancestry gave me a greater respect for family. My Prayers and thoughts go out to the family for strength and guidance.
Most of my childhood and teenage memories were going to Blackmon reunion at Aunt Almas and meeting Moms ( Annie Grace Blackmon Grantham) family It was fun and interesting to hear the stories of what life was like for Sonny& Shirley Mom, Macie, Uncle Furman, Billy and Leon. growing up in simpler times with the love of family and friends Sonny will be missed ,remembered and the stories ,memories of good family reunions will go on until we all meet again.
