Betty Jo “B. J.” Rushing, 72, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Hughie Wilson Catoe and Alma Adams Catoe. B.J. was retired from First Citizens Bank. She loved traveling, going to Myrtle Beach and being with family and friends. The family will be hosting a gathering at her home, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in the afternoon. She is survived by her fiancé, John “Jack” Jenkins of the home. Also brothers, Bobby (Santa) Catoe, Jimmy (Cindy) Catoe, Phillip (Aurelia) Catoe, Billy (Kim) Catoe all of Lancaster, Jake Catoe of Alabama, and Donald (Abby) Catoe of East Bend, NC and sister, Brenda Catoe of the home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Travis Catoe, Larry Catoe and Charles Catoe all of Lancaster and sisters, Pat Wallace and Dottie Williams of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church – Building Fund, 113 South Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Ms. Rushing.
