Betty Mungo Cole Bratton

Mrs. Betty Mungo Cole Bratton, 89, of Lancaster passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at MUSC-Lancaster. She was born June 4, 1932 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John B. Mungo and Dessie Robinson Mungo. Mrs. Bratton was twice widowed, first to Billy J. Cole and then to Charles Furman Bratton. She was employed with Springs Industries for 42 years. Mrs. Bratton loved gardening, craft work and painting.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bratton will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1 p.m. from the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Mr. Brian Lambert, Rev. Steve Kirby and Mr. Ernie Lambert officiating. Mrs. Bratton is survived by a son, Jerry A. Cole of Lancaster; a daughter, Rena C. Lambert and her husband Ernie of Mint Hill; two grandchildren, Brian and Kelly; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Furman Mungo and John Donald Mungo.The family will receive following the service at the cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, P.O.
