Bessie Lee Horne Bowers

Mrs. Bessie Lee Horne Bowers, 85, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born November 30, 1932 in Pageland, a daughter of the late Robert Fulton Horne and Bessie Sims Horne.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bowers will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Bowers is survived by a brother, Oscar Joe Horne of Lancaster; two sisters, Inez Whit and her husband General of Wagram, NC and Ruth H. Williams of Lancaster; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by four brothers, Ben Horne, Robert Horne, James Horne and Jack Horne; and six sisters, Ethel Deason, Eula Banks, Jessie Banks, Loretta Plyler, Ola Miles and Katie Langley.The family will receive friends at the home of Ruth Williams.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Bowers.Read Obituary
