Mrs. Ava Marie (Ree) Taylor, 84, of Lancaster, wife of Charles Coleman Taylor Jr, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1933 in Kings Mountain, NC, daughter of the late Elam and Reba Hamrick. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Taylor will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Second Baptist Church in Lancaster with the Pastors Brian Saxon and Larry Helm officiating. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Debbie Taylor McClarty and her husband, Tim of Abilene, TX; and a son, Ronald Wayne Taylor and his wife Amy of Charlotte, NC; 4 grandchildren, Ann McClarty of Dallas, TX, Sadie McClarty of Coppell, TX, Sarah McClarty of Lubbock, TX and Ronald Wayne Taylor Jr. and wife, Willa of York, SC; one great-grandchild, Jace Jeremiah Taylor of York, SC. She is survived by sisters, Tempa Welborn and husband Bill, of North Wilkesboro, NC; Carol Cooke of Charlotte, NC; and a brother, David (Bud) Hamrick and Peggy Stroud of Lancaster, SC; and many nephews and nieces.The family will receive friends before the service at 2:00 pm at Second Baptist Church.Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Taylor.
