Mrs. Annie Jeanette “Jan” Allen, 76, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born April 29, 1942 in Elba, Alabama, a daughter of the late Louie Coe and Annie Dell Brown Allen and was married to the late William Paul Allen. Mrs. Allen was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She retired from Duracell, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching hummingbirds. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Allen will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Boone and Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Allen is survived by her two daughters, Wanda H. Ledbetter and her husband Dan, and Renee Hubbard Phillips of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Monty Hudson, Candace Hudson, Elizabeth Mahaffey Austin and Seth Phillips; three great grandchildren, Haley Pate, Kennedy Austin and Myles Austin; two sisters, Christine Dillinger and her husband Mitchell of Chester and Judy Starnes of Rock Hill. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lynn Hubbard, and her brother Jack Allen.
