Mrs. Wilma Player Hendrix, 86, formerly of Lancaster, widow of Ernest W. Hendrix, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. She was born April 13, 1929 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John Lewis Player and Annie Evans Player.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hendrix will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Miles officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Hendrix is survived by three daughters, Alvie Jean Criminger and her husband Bobby of Heath Springs, Theresa Moore and her husband Randy of Florence and Cynthia Nichols of Kershaw; a brother, John W. Player of Myrtle Beach; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Eugene Coble and Bobby Lynn Nichols; five brothers, Odell Player, Roy Player, David Player, Clyde Player and Woody Player; and two sisters, Louise Bowers and Ruth Blackmon.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tony and Dennis Taylor, 2607 Rocky River Road, Heath Springs.Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Florence, 1203 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Hendrix.Read Obituary
