Mrs. Vicki Lynn Ghent Rutledge, 64, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home. She was born November 29, 1950 in Abbeville, SC, a daughter of Clyde Ghent and the late Elizabeth Brown Ghent. Mrs. Rutledge was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Rutledge loved the mountains, her animals, she loved the snow and loved being with her family and friends. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mrs. Rutledge always had a smile for everyone and tried to make their day a little better.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rutledge will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11 am at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Dickson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Rutledge is survived by a son, William Anderson Lowe of Columbia; a daughter, Maegan E. Rutledge of Lancaster; her father, Clyde Ghent of Lancaster; a brother, Paul Ghent of Wakefield, KS; two grandsons, Jacob and Caleb Lowe; and two nephews, Quinten and Noah Ghent.The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Rutledge.
