Tony Gean Hargett

Rev. Tony Gean Hargett 58, of Kershaw passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his home. He was born January 27, 1960 in Pageland, a son of the late Lessie Laney Hargett. Rev. Hargett was the Pastor of Prodigal Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Rev. Hargett loved reading his Bible, preaching and working on the golf course and playing golf. He loved spending time with his family and friends. The family wants to give special thanks to his aid, Norma Truesdale.A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Hargett will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Prodigal Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Elders officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Rev. Hargett is survived by his wife, Pamela S. Hargett of Kershaw; a son, Tony Allen Hargett of Kershaw; two brothers, Robert Hargett and his wife Faith and Mitchell Hargett all of Pageland; four sisters, Bessie Hargett and her companion Coyte King of Jefferson, Christine Hargett and her companion Joe Wallace of Pageland, Peggy McManus and her husband Lewis of Pageland and Patricia Phillips of Richmond, VA; a granddaughter, Leslie Infinger of Kershaw; and a special niece, Rachel Hargett of Buffalo, NY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, April Delores Infinger; two brothers, Jessie Hargett and Billy Ray Hargett; and a sister, Donna McLean.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at Prodigal Freewill Baptist Church and other times at the home, 907 Buffalo Creek Road, Kershaw.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Rev.
