Mrs. Sybil Lee Stacks Carter, 87, widow of Jonathan Hoyte Carter of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at home. She was born June 5, 1929 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Frank Stacks and Estelle Sowell Stacks.A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carter will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at11 am at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jim McClure officiating.Mrs. Carter is survived by a son, Scotty Carter and his wife Sara of Fort Lawn; two brothers, Donald Stacks, and Mickey Stacks and his wife Sylvia all of Lancaster; a sister Sharon Stacks Guild and her husband Jerry of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Scott Carter, Crystal C. Sanders, and Mark Carter; and six great-grandchildren, Jordan Carter, Matthew Carter, Landon Carter, Jason Dobbins, Kaitlyn Sanders, and Connor Sanders.
