Stephen Hite Sowell

Mr. Stephen Hite Sowell, 58, of Lancaster passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1957 in Charlotte, NC, a son of Sue Bryant Hite Sowell and the late Jackson Lewis “Jack” Sowell.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Sowell will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11 am at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gordon Hamilton officiating. Burial will be private.Mr. Sowell is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Kay Sowell of Gastonia, NC; his mother, Sue H. Sowell of Lancaster; a brother, Jackson Lewis Sowell, Jr. and his wife Jane of Waxhaw; two sisters, Linda Susan Sowell and her husband Ed of Camden; and Sarah Eloise Sowell Albertin and her husband Mark of Augusta, GA.Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 534 Plantation Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to the National Kidney Foundation, P.O.
