Mrs. Roxie Leigh Nichols Catoe, 85, of Lancaster, widow of Clyde F. Catoe, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at her home. She was born March 17, 1930 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Robert Virlen Nichols and Margaret Ellis Nichols. Mrs. Catoe was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Catoe will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 3 pm at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Adams and Rev. Jack Nunn officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Catoe is survived by three sons, Mike Catoe and his wife Judy, Darrell Catoe and his wife Teresa and Marvin Catoe and his wife Lisa all of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Catoe.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and other times at the home of Mike and Judy Catoe.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Catoe.Read Obituary

Ms Catoe was one of my favorite students at USC Lancaster. She was always so kind and brightened my day with her smile. I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers to all of her family.
So very sorry to learn of Ms Roxies passing. She was a inspiration to all who knew her and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was so very proud of her family.
