Mr. Ronnie Lynwood Dority, 63, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born October 24, 1949 in Hartsville, a son of the late Sonny Dority and Betty McLeod Dority Walker. He was a very active member of Friendship Baptist Church.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Dority will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2 pm at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Birchfield officiating.Mr. Dority is survived by his wife, Maggie Dority of Lancaster; one son, Sergeant Randy Gilreath and his wife April of Fort Drum, NY; two daughters, April Dority of Elgin, SC and Jessica Gilreath and her husband Donnie Adams, Jr. of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Alethia and Skyler Gilreath, Trey Adams, Mason Hall and Brady Hall. He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Dority.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church.Read Obituary

I'm Tina Freeman, G.W. Freeman dauger. I olny knew Ronnie when i heard him sing. I love his band and his singing. I still leason to his songs he wrote. I'm seen all the things and Don't look at me. And i will always leason to it, but now i will remeber him when i'm singing his songs. Sing to to the Lord now Ronnie, but don't stop to pick up the money you see on the floor.

I remember around Christmas time a man brought in a little boy and he kept staring at Ronnie, Im pretty sure he thought he was Santa Claus! Ronnie you will be missed and loved forever and always! Rest in Heaven
