Mr. Roland Thomas King, 76, of Lancaster, widower of Mary Faye Moree King, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at White Oak Manor. He was born December 15, 1937 in Lancaster, a son of the late George Washington King and Jane Ewing King. Mr. King was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved his family, his church and Sunday School class, racing, and enjoyed going to the Lancaster Senior Center spending time with his friends.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. King will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 3 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eric Plyler officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. King is survived by two daughters, Tammy Plyler and her husband Eric of Kershaw and Rosemary Laney of Lancaster; a sister, Pat Woods and her husband Ken of Lincolnton, NC; a brother-in-law, Paul Boone of Kershaw; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Rowell and Betsy Boone; and a brother, Don King.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O.
