Robert Roscoe Ellis

Mr. Robert Roscoe Ellis, 87, of Lancaster passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at his home. He was born August 13, 1927 in Kershaw, a son of the late William and Nettie Marie Owens Ellis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was the last of his brothers and sisters that he loves and missed. Mr. Ellis loved playing flat guitar, steel guitar, dog house base and a dobro, which he played by ear, and loved to hunt and fish.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ellis will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 7 pm at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hammond and Rev. Buford Hayes officiating.Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife, Sara Love Ellis of Lancaster; two sons, Tony Ellis and his wife Janet and Bruce Ellis of Lancaster; one daughter Shirley Ellis of Lancaster; four grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
