Mrs. Reba Lee Lucas Hance, 79, of Lancaster, wife of Furman M. Hance, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home. She was born December 10, 1935 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Lossie Lucas and Ola Jane Roberts Lucas. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church and had retired from White Oak Manor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to listen to music, sit on the porch and spend time with her family. She loved to sing in the church choir. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hance will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Robinson and Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. Burial will be private. Mrs. Hance is survived by her husband, Furman M. Hance; two sons, Darel Hance and his wife Elizabeth of Hartsville, and David Hance of Lancaster; two daughters, Debbie Funderburk and her husband Kevin of Pageland and Tammy Hance of Arlington, Virginia; a brother, Bill Lucas and his wife Colleen of Great Falls and Marvin Lucas and his wife Joyce of Lexington; a sister, Irene Lucas Plyler of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Christie Lewis, Hope Funderburk, Ryan Hance, and McKensie Hance; and two great grandchildren, Graycee Lewis and Tanner Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Lucas and Elliot “Shorty” Lucas; and a sister, Evelyn Miles. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the fellowship hall of Westside Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 2066 Airport Road, Lancaster, SC 29720. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Hance.
