Mrs. Peggy Clough Plyler, 90, of Lancaster, widow of Harry Baker Plyler, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living. She was born September 22, 1925 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John Henry Clough, Sr. and Margaret Gill Clough. She was a founding member of Immanuel Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Plyler will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Immanuel Church with the Rev. Tim Anderson and Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Plyler is survived by a son, Mike Anderson of Lancaster; two daughters, Margaret P. Rhoad and her husband Gene of Lexington, SC and Carol P. Cauthen and her husband Randy of Lancaster; a brother, Pete Clough and his wife Betty of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, Wendy Anderson, Michael Anderson, Crystal Perry, Elliott Rhoad, Courtney Cauthen, Ashley Cauthen, Mallory Cauthen and Sydney Cauthen; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Plyler was preceded in death by a son, David G. Plyler; a granddaughter, Sherry Anderson McWaters; four brothers, William Clough, J. Andrew Clough, John Henry Clough, Jr. and Herbert Clough; and a sister, Vernice Clough.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Carol and Randy Cauthen.Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church – Lottie Moon Offering, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720, or to Zion United Methodist Church - Building Fund, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Plyler.Read Obituary

Plyler family, words cannot express the sorry and loss we feel in the home going of your Mother. Shes now enjoying the reunion with friends who have gone before.
