Pearlie Mae Knight Wright

Mrs. Pearlie Mae Knight Wright, 80, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ridgeway. She was born June 17, 1935 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Otis Miller Knight and Virginia Starnes Knight. She was the widow of William Nelson Wright. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She always helped with family members when they became sick. She loved taking trips to the mountains and beach. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard. She always loved to sit on her porch at night listening to nature.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wright will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Burgess officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Wright is survived by two daughters, Cynthia W. Thomas and her husband Lewis and Barbara Ann Gilmore and her husband Bobby all of Lancaster; a brother, Ray Miller Knight and his fiancé Betty Baker of Lancaster; a sister, Sarah Burr and her husband Jasper of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Tammy Mackey, Tracey McManus, Sharon Broome, Nelson Cole and Ann Cole; and twelve great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Wright.Read Obituary
