Michael Lee "Pete" Ghent

Mr. Michael Lee “Pete” Ghent, 45, of Lancaster passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at his home. He was born December 8, 1969 in Lancaster, a son of Martha Laney Whitaker and the late Michael Ervin Ghent and William E. Whitaker. He loved his room and listening to music. He also enjoyed watching Stars, doing yard work, cooking, cleaning, and riding his four wheeler. He was a knife, sword and gun collector. He also listened to Shepards Chapel Church (Arnold Murry). He loved to read his Bible and Stephen King novels. His favorite programs were Ancient Aliens, Cooking Shows, History Channel and horror shows.He loved all his Agape Family and his special angel, Doris Chitwood.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ghent will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Dickson and Chaplin Maurene Palmer officiating. Burial will be at a later date.Mr. Ghent is survived by his mother, Martha Laney Whitaker; three brothers, David Ray Ghent of Lancaster, Raymond Deese, and Leopoldo “Poppy” Reyes and his wife Casandra all of Lancaster; a sister, Kellie Jo Mosley and her husband Scott of Waxhaw; nieces, Sheena Hinson and her husband Derric and Samantha Mosley; great nephews, Chandler, Collin, Julian, Riqui, and Mark; great nieces, Bonnie, Bella, and Breana.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, Martha L.
