Mendel Bruce Hegler

Mr. Mendel Bruce Hegler, 73, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born February 28, 1941 in Lancaster, a son of the late Roachel and Melita Dunn Hegler and was married to Barbara Bowers Hegler. Mr. Hegler was a member of Union Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hegler will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 3 pm at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Wilson and Rev. Gareth Hegler officiating. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Hegler is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Hegler of Lancaster; two sons, Jamie Hegler and his wife Darri and Blake Hegler and his wife Savanna of Lancaster; one daughter Teresa H. Knight and her husband Chuck of Athens, Ga.; four grandchildren, Chase Knight, Justin Knight, Ben Hegler and Brittany Strange; three great grandchildren Nathan Knight, Macie Knight and Dalton Hegler; two brothers Ernest Hegler and his wife Helen of Lancaster and Charles Hegler and his wife Bobbie of Mill Springs, NC; four sisters Shirley H. Mackey and her husband Sonny and Janis H. Sistare and her husband Gene both of Lancaster, Kathy H. Harrison and her husband Ken of Lexington, SC, and Vickie H.
