Margaret Ann Stroud Sims

Mrs. Margaret Ann Stroud Sims, 71, of Lancaster passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born July 31, 1943 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Gilbert Samuel Stroud and Leatha Boone Stroud. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sims will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Robinson officiating. Burial will be private.Mrs. Sims is survived by a son, Samuel N. Sims of Lancaster; two daughters, Jenny Sparks of Lancaster and Carol Langley and her husband Tommy of Kershaw; her former husband and best friend, Tobias N. Sims of Lancaster; three sisters, Effie Bowers and her husband Ronnie of Kershaw, Betty Flannigan of Lancaster and Terry Stroud Neely of Charlotte; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, D.T. Stroud and Tim Stroud; two sisters, Peggy Williams and Shirley Funderburk.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mrs. Sims.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Sims.Read Obituary
